We are looking for a talented postdoc in microfabrication for the development of bioinspired photonic structures. The candidate must have experience in microfabrication, MEMs, physics, biochemistry, bio-composites, or related discipline. Advanced skills in micro and nanofabrication (e.g., soft lithography, photolithography, self-assembly) and characterization (e.g., spectroscopy, SEM) are required. Experience working with biomaterials or photonic structures is desirable.

The candidate is expected to work towards independence by building a good publication record, supervising students, and collaborating with other teams as part of a multidisciplinary project.

Candidates will be part of a young and vibrant environment and cooperate in a multidisciplinary team to conduct cutting-edge research. Our lab understands science and technology as tools to build a better world, being our research’s impact the primary driver of our work. For example, in the last year alone, we have developed the first generalizable route to circular manufacturing in cities (by linking additive manufacturing with waste management), produced chips to understand and predict breast cancer development, and have developed materials and production models for extraplanetary colonization.
