Particularly, the graduate students (full-time graduate research assistants) will work on a couple of research projects sponsored by U.S. Department of Agriculture which will be novel environmental remediation (biochar-driven remediation, bioremediation, phytoremediation) for enhancing water quality, microbial pathogen control, soil health and greenhouse gas control in agricultural systems.
Available topics include: 1) Preparation, characterization and applications of novel biochar for agricultural and environmental processes, 2) Biochar-driven bioremediation for controlling nutrients and emerging contaminants in water, 3) Novel runoff water treatment processes, and 4) Resource recovery from wastewater and wastes.
We are hiring M.S. students in environmental science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, soil science and any other relevant disciplines.
Candidates are encouraged to contact Dr. Eunsung Kan (https://sites.google.com/site/eunsungkan/ ) by sending CV, unofficial transcript, cover letter, and a list of three references. Please include your past research/study experiences and your future research interests in the cover letter.
