The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Vermont (UVM) invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions for Fall 2019:

1) Associate or Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering with focus on biological processes. Of particular interest is research expertise in advanced biological tools to solve environmental engineering problems.

2) Assistant Professor with expertise in Environmental and Hydrodynamic Modeling. The candidate must be able to model fluid flow and mass transport in surface-water systems and significantly contribute to the National Science Foundation-funded $20M interdisciplinary project of Vermont EPSCoR ( Basin Resilience to Extreme Events (BREE).

3) Associate or Assistant Professor in Transportation Systems Engineering. Of particular interest is research expertise in system resiliency, data science and "big data", network modeling, travel behavior, or spatial analysis. An interest in serving a faculty leadership role for the UVM Transportation Research Center is important for this position and thus some equivalent combination of faculty experience and/or leadership roles is an asset.
