Postdoctoral Research Opening
Next Generation Polymer Nanocomposites
Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering
Case Western Reserve University
The Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering of Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio) announces the immediate availability of a postdoctoral research opening in the area of polymer nanocomposite systems. This position is open to individuals who hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field (Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering) and is expected to be initially a 12-month appointment.
Candidates who have an established research record in areas relevant to the mixing and dispersion of nanoscale fillers into polymers are encouraged to apply. The project will entail the development of innovative, next generation nanocomposities with properties enhanced through the use of nanofillers with unique morphologies and microstructural characteristics. Research will also explore the potential use of hybrid fillers with different dimensionalities to bring on synergistic effects in system properties. We seek a candidate with effective written and oral communication skills, high levels of motivation, initiative and energy coupled with ability to work independently as well as in a team. This position is open until filled.
Further inquiries and application materials (curriculum vitae, descriptions of research interests, and a list of references) should be sent electronically to Professor Ica Manas-Zloczower, Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering, Case Western Reserve University, at (email@example.com)
