Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for Assistant Professor positions in Computational Mathematics, Applied Linear Algebra, and related fields. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics with a specialization in relevant areas such as Optimization or Scientific Computing. Preference will be given to applicants with strong theoretical and practical expertise in these domains. Applicants should be deeply committed to delivering high-quality education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. They should showcase research proficiency, enabling the establishment and maintenance of internally and/or externally funded research in Mathematics related to Computational Mathematics. Additionally, candidates are expected to publish their research findings in esteemed, peer-reviewed journals. The Department envisions this position as a significant stride toward fostering interdisciplinary research, addressing scientific and technological challenges across various domains and industries related to the UAE's priority areas. To apply, candidates should submit a comprehensive application package comprising a cover letter, a detailed resume, a concise teaching philosophy, a list of courses taught, and three recommendation letters—preferably, one focused on research and another on teaching. Minimum Qualification

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Mathematics.

Preferred Qualification

Postdoctoral experience with a strong record of teaching and research at higher education institutions. Excellent communication skills in English. Solid theoretical and practical expertise in Optimization and Scientific Computing (with emphasis on advanced methods rather than software end-user applications).
