The Energy Lab at Case Western Reserve University is seeking a post-doctoral researcher with chemical engineering, chemistry or relevant background with demonstrated ingenuity, productivity, ability to work in a diverse, high-energy environment. The postdoc will be responsible for the synthesis of redox-active deep eutectic solvents and characterization of physical and electrochemical properties. This position will require close collaborations with the new DOE Energy Frontier Research Center: Breakthrough Electrolytes for Energy Storage (BEES).
Desired: Experience in organic chemical synthesis, ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, physicochemical property measurements, electrochemistry; strong analytical thinking; dependable; highly motivated; hands-on and self-initiative personality.
