Job Description

The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB) in the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) seeks to fill a full-time (9-month) Senior Lecturer position, starting in Fall 2024.

This position requires the candidate to have minimally a master’s degree with significant teaching and industrial experience in the operational theory and practical use of analytical chemistry instruments as well as training new users. The candidate is expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate instrumental analysis lecture and lab courses with comprehensive hands-on skills and responsibilities to maintain modern analytical instruments in our teaching and research lab facilities. The successful applicant will also contribute to curriculum development and assessment activities; and be an active member of the intellectual community.

The CCB Department at Stevens is known for its legacy of fostering and nurturing groundbreaking, world-class innovation. CCB was among the first to offer an undergraduate Chemical Biology degree in 1978 and today remains at the forefront of chemical biology with our internationally recognized faculty in the healthcare domain as well as with professionally diverse experiences in academia and industry. The department currently consists of 19 full time faculty members, approximately 150 undergraduates, 30 master’s students, and 20 doctoral students.
