The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to start in August 2024.

We are seeking candidates with research programs related to metabolism, broadly defined, at any level ranging from the cellular, tissue, or organismal. All model and non-traditional systems are welcome, including cell culture, vertebrate and invertebrate animals, single-celled organisms, and in vitro systems. Successful applicants will also become part of the Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center at the University of Arkansas, which offers unique opportunities for NIH funding, mentorship, and grant writing support. Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience in cell and molecular biology (or related fields) and demonstrated research accomplishments are required. Successful candidates are expected to establish an extramurally funded research program, teach an undergraduate Cell Biology course, develop a graduate-level course within their area of expertise, contribute to the training of undergraduate and graduate students, and participate in professional service.
