Job Description
The Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a Research faculty appointment as Research Assistant/Associate or Professor of Modeling & Simulation, Instructional Technologies, Data Science, and Healthcare beginning June 10, 2024. This is a 12-month appointment that is ineligible for tenure. The selected candidate will supervise and conduct applied research and development in their selected field of expertise. They will be expected to:
- Submit proposals for funded research;
- Create teams to support research;
- Generate research funding to support research initiatives;
- Publish research papers, peer review articles, and conference papers; and
- Attend conferences to further research initiatives.
Candidates with an existing research portfolio are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of demonstrated research experience and a demonstrated ability to seek, propose, and be awarded funded research.
Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Modeling & Simulation, Instructional Technologies, Data Science, or Healthcare
