Primary Purpose of Position
Primary duties of the postdoc will involve process optimization of lithium surface treatments, and materials fabrication and characterization, with a focus on energy and battery applications. Secondary duties will include graduate student mentorship, and participation in the management and training graduate students within the research group and at the school. Career development opportunities including additional research project involvement and collaborative grant writing opportunities can be available. The candidate is expected to contribute to the advancement of new materials and new processes to enhance lithium battery operation, thus allowing the candidate to apply their scientific and technical expertise to the development of solutions for problems in areas of energy efficiency.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The successful candidate will become part of a research group at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering at North Carolina A&T State University which focuses on advancing research and education in nanotechnology.
