Position Description
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University, invites applicants for up to two full-time Academic Professional Track Faculty (Non-Tenure): Lecturer to instruct classes in biochemistry and/or genetics. This is a non-tenure track position with a 9-month academic appointment with the possibility of renewal annually. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2021. This position is defined as a teaching position but can include service work by participating on committees as deemed appropriate by the department head. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and an office within the Biochemistry and Biophysics Building at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Responsibilities for this position include teaching at the undergraduate level, and service to the department, university, and the field of biochemistry, biophysics, and genetics.

Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, or molecular genetics is required. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with online teaching is desirable. Other experience should include demonstrated excellence in teaching, the ability to function in an interdisciplinary program involving faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds, computer and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
