The department of geosciences at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites highly qualified individuals at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor to apply for a faculty position in Remote Sensing & GIS in Geosciences. The department of geosciences seeks candidates who can contribute to its growing undergraduate and graduate programs in geosciences through excellence in teaching and research. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student supervising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability of excellence that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS from an Earth Sciences Department and demonstrated record of research accomplishments, experience in writing and securing grants, and effective and innovative teaching.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Remote Sensing & GIS from an Earth Science department with demonstrated record of research accomplishments in principles and applications of Remote Sensing & GIS in geosciences. Experience in programing and application of digital analysis and artificial intelligence is highly recommended. Experience in writing and securing grants, and effective and innovative teaching is vital for the position. Practical and industrial experience is a plus. Faculty rank is commensurate with the qualifications and experience.
