The Department of Biology and Chemistry invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Chemist to join our faculty. Major responsibilities include teaching undergraduate lectures and laboratories in general, organic, and intermediate chemistry courses in support of the Forensic Biology and Wildlife Science degree programs and general education requirements. The standard teaching load is 18-24 credit hours per 9-month academic contract. Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and potential for scholarship involving students.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Chemistry. Preference will be given to those who can teach Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and have expertise with laboratory equipment including FTIR, GCMS, UV/Vis and NMR.
Applicants with Leadership/Department Chair experience or potential, are encouraged to apply. The standard teaching load and contract length may be adjusted for Department Chairs.
