3. Hiring Departments and Academic Fields
1) Department of Physics and Chemistry
Chemical and Physical Approaches for Translational Medicine and Medicinal Chemistry
- Molecular diagnostics, biosensing platforms, and imaging-guided therapeutic technologies (e.g., MRI, ultrasound, photoacoustics)
- Smart nanomaterials and precision drug delivery systems
- Targeted therapeutics (antibody-drug conjugates, proteolysis targeting chimeras, covalent inhibitors) and theranostic agents
- Bioinspired platforms for disease modeling and drug screening
- Non-invasive treatment technologies based on physical principles
• Chemical Biology and Biochemistry
- Bioorthogonal chemistry
- Molecular and activity-based probes

4. Position Start Date and Procedure

※ The Appointment date can be adjusted in consultation with department.
⦁ The evaluation, interview process, and final decision will be completed within three months after the application submission.

5. Qualification
⦁ Applicants must hold a MD-PhD degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline at the time of the appointment.
⦁ Proficiency in English is required, as all lectures at DGIST are conducted in English.

9. Matters of Consideration
⦁ Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
⦁ Selected candidates at each stage will be notified individually with detailed information regarding the terms of employment.
⦁ The appointment shall be canceled under the following circumstances:
- If false entries or modifications are found in the application form.
- If the candidate fails to obtain a doctoral degree at the time of appointment.
⦁ The appointment and acceptance will also be canceled if the candidate, or someone closely related to the candidate, engages in any form of misconduct, such as making improper requests, exerting pressure, or offering financial benefits in relation to the hiring process, resulting in their unfair selection.
⦁ Appointment will be restricted if the candidate is subject to disqualifications, set out in the State Public Officials Act, (Article 33), or the DGIST Regulation on Faculty Personnel Management, (Article 12).
