Michigan Technological University, a nationally recognized leader in science and engineering education and research, invites applications for an Instructional track faculty position in the Mechatronics, Electrical and Robotics Engineering Technology program in the Department of Applied Computing in the College of Computing starting August 2023. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate classes and laboratories, provide hardware support and equipment maintenance in all laboratories, create innovative instructional materials and laboratory experiences, participate in program assessment activities related to accreditation, and perform student advising and other departmental services.
Qualifications
Applicants must have: (a) a minimum of MS degree in electrical, computer engineering, or a closely-related engineering or engineering technology field from an accredited institution; (b) evidence of strong oral and written communication, computer, and presentation skills; (c) evidence of effective teaching; (d) motivation and ability to maintain various laboratory equipment; and (e) evidence of a minimum of two years of relevant industrial experience. The successful applicants should be qualified to teach various electrical engineering technology courses in basic electronics, electronic devices, electrical machines, and digital electronics.
