Prior background in solar cell research is highly desired. The broad research thrusts for NMDL are to synthesize nanomaterials including semiconducting van der Waals solids, such as selenides, sulphides and nanocarbons and characterize their unique properties using a suite of electronic and opto-electronic transport techniques, and integrate these materials into devices for nanoelectronics, flexible electronics, sensors, and solar cells. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual, with a particular focus toward photovoltaics (PV) research. Direct, prior hands-on experience in the experimental fabrication and electrical characterization of solar cell materials and devices is a definite plus and highly desirable.
