The Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada is seeking applications for a full-time Chair in Sustainable Aquaculture at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track). The anticipated start date is January 1, 2021.

Applicants must have a PhD and postdoctoral (or equivalent experience) in aquaculture or a closely related area. Candidates must demonstrate potential for outstanding research, teaching and mentorship in one of our priority areas for sustainable aquaculture, which include integrated land- or marine-based production, green products, post-harvest and waste utilization. Applicants will be expected to take a leadership role in a graduate program in aquaculture, and to complement our current teaching programs. The Faculty of Land and Food Systems uses student-centered learning to educate new generations of scientists equipped to solve the most fundamental issues faced by society (

The successful applicant will be expected to establish synergistic research relationships within and among research groups within the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and across the University.
