The Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada is seeking applications for a full-time Chair in Sustainable Aquaculture at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track). The anticipated start date is January 1, 2021.
Applicants must have a PhD and postdoctoral (or equivalent experience) in aquaculture or a closely related area. Candidates must demonstrate potential for outstanding research, teaching and mentorship in one of our priority areas for sustainable aquaculture, which include integrated land- or marine-based production, green products, post-harvest and waste utilization. Applicants will be expected to take a leadership role in a graduate program in aquaculture, and to complement our current teaching programs. The Faculty of Land and Food Systems uses student-centered learning to educate new generations of scientists equipped to solve the most fundamental issues faced by society (www.landfood.ubc.ca).
The successful applicant will be expected to establish synergistic research relationships within and among research groups within the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and across the University.
