Dr. Ramezani at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley has an opening, start day as early as July 31, 2020, for a postdoc position. As you might know, research in my group focuses on theoretical classical electrodynamics, photonics, quantum optics, and optomechanics. One major research interest of my group is in guiding the flow of light in topological and non-Hermitian (linear/nonlinear) systems including laser cavities, waveguides, etc. We are interested in both the classical and quantum aspects of related problems. My research requires analytical and numerical background. Being familiar with FDTD and FEM software is an advantage.
We seek a motivated, focused, and hard-working candidate with a strong background and strong CV who is dedicated to the research. Scientific writing skills are important for this position.
