FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship is available within the scope of a Regular Research Grant Project. The research activities will be carried out at the Interinstitutional Graduate Program in Statistics at UFSCar/USP (PIPGEs), based atthe Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil.
The position is open to Brazilian or international researchers holding a Ph.D. in Statistics, obtained in Brazil or abroad,with proven experience in the fields of Survival Analysis and/or Reliability, and the ability to propose and validate newor advanced statistical models.
Applicants are also expected to have strong programming skills in R and Python, and experience with:
Git/GitHub
API development and integration with databases (e.g., SQL, RESTful APIs),
IDEs such as Jupyter Notebooks or VSCode,
Parallel programming for computational efficiency.
Candidates should also have a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, including but not limited to fields such as engineering, epidemiology, medicine, and public health.
