We are looking for a talented postdoc in the area of microfabrication with an emphasis on biopolymers. Candidate must have a PhD in the area of microfabrication, MEMs, physics, biochemistry, bio-composites, or related discipline.
Advanced level skills are required in the area of microfabrication, and molecular and supramolecular characterization, with at least proficiency in standard micro and nano-fabrication tools for surface topographies(spin coating, chemical etching, soft lithography...). Additional skills in biochemistry, molecular and optical characterization, animal physiology, and molecular modelling and computational chemistry will also be considered positively.
The candidate is expected to work independently, build a good publication record, and collaborate with other teams in the assimilation of natural molecules and composites in manufacturing strategies. The candidate is also expected to get involved in supervising students, gain teaching experience, and build an international reputation.
Candidates will be part of a young and vibrant environment and are expected to cooperate in a multi-disciplinary team to conduct cutting-edge research. The main focus of the postdoctoral fellow will be on the reproduction of biological structural color. The candidate will be part of a international teams of biologist and physicists of different backgrounds.
