The principal activities of the Physics & Astronomy Department are research and education, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. The department strives both to contribute to the growing understanding of the physical universe, and to educate students in both the content of physics and its methods and principles.
What You'll Do
The Research Technician will work under close supervision of the senior investigator in the host laboratory. Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, the Research Technician will develop a simulation that will model the response of a future particle detector using cryogenic liquid argon and contribute towards hardware R&D projects. The Research Technician contributes ideas and suggestions to the research effort, operates independently and publishes papers in collaboration with the senior investigator. This individual may have other responsibilities in the laboratory such as supervision of staff, grant proposal writing, writing papers, etc.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 years' experience
