    The Position

    We are in search of a colleague who is excited about teaching and helping students learn. We are interested in candidates who can teach in one or more of the areas of data science, computer science, or information systems. We have several broad areas of interest, including but not limited to software development, data science and big data. A record of teaching effectiveness and/or relevant industry experience is expected.

    In the role of Teaching Post-Doc, the successful candidate will have the responsibility to teach 3 courses over the span of the academic year 2020-2021. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with learning science experts at CMU’s Eberly Center to develop evidence based pedagogical approaches.

    We welcome applications with a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field. ABD candidates nearing completion of their degrees may be considered for conditional appointment.
