    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position beginning on August 16, 2023.


    We seek applicants with research specialization in any area of Discrete Mathematics. The successful candidate will develop an independent research program at Auburn, enhancing and complementing the department’s current research group in discrete mathematics. The successful candidate will also teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and supervise graduate students.

    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has a PhD program and various MS programs, including a new MS program in Data Science. It has over 50 mathematicians/statisticians and more than 120 graduate students engaged in research in a wide variety of areas in mathematics and statistics. Auburn University’s strong research programs in a variety of areas present many opportunities for interdisciplinary research and for participation in its various multidisciplinary programs.
