    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University invites applications for two open-rank, nine-month, tenure-track positions in Statistics/Data Science, beginning on August 16, 2024. Candidates with expertise in all areas of statistics and data science are desired. The rank for each position is open and will be determined based on qualifications. Successful candidates are expected to pursue independent research and teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University boasts a dynamic faculty of over 50 members, specializing in a diverse range of mathematical, statistical, and data science fields. This diversity and the strengths of our faculty create a stimulating environment for both research and teaching. As a prospective faculty member, you will find vibrant, emerging research areas that complement both theoretical and applied data science. The department offers a Ph.D. program and various MS programs, including a new MS program in Data Science.
