    [b]Postdoctoral Researchers in Applied Inverse Problems and Scientific Computing [/b]

    The postdoctoral researchers will work in the research group of Harri Hakula, Antti Hannukainen and Nuutti Hyvönen, and they will be affiliated with the Flagship of Advanced Mathematics for Sensing, Imaging and Modelling (FAME). FAME is a broad collaboration network formed by eight universities and research institutes. It connects high-quality research to societal impact and strong cooperation with companies and other stakeholders. The positions are for 2(+1) years, and they will be filled at the latest in June 2024.

    [b]Requirements[/b]
    We look for scholars who are about to complete, or have completed within the past 5 years, their doctoral studies in a relevant field. The candidates are required to have a strong background in applied inverse problems, scientific computing, numerical analysis, numerical linear algebra, uncertainty quantification, partial differential equations, and/or a closely related field of applied mathematics. Programming skills and strong interest in implementing numerical methods in practice are considered a significant advantage. A good command of English is required, Finnish language is not.

    The expected starting salary is 3887 €/month. The contract includes occupational health care benefits and a holiday bonus.
