    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University seeks to fill two nine-month tenure-track assistant professor positions beginning on August 16, 2025. Candidates in all areas of applied and computational mathematics will be considered. Candidates whose research focuses on partial differential equations and data-driven computational mathematics are desired.

    The department has a PhD program and various MS programs, including a new MS program in Data Science. It has over 50 mathematicians/statisticians and more than 120 graduate students engaged in research in various areas of mathematics and statistics. Auburn University’s strong research programs in a variety of areas present many opportunities for interdisciplinary research and participation in its various multidisciplinary programs.
