    The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.


     


    We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the laboratory of Professor Yonggui Gao. Supported by a Tier 1 grant, this position focuses on protein translation and regulation involving the ribosome, as well as protein preparation and characterization. Applicants with experience in molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification are preferred, but all motivated candidates with a passion for research are encouraged to apply.


     


    Key Responsibilities: 




    • Protein expression and preparation for protein and complex studies




    • Biochemical and biophysical characterization




    • Microbiological assays




    • Other duties as assigned




     


    Job Requirements:




    • BSc in Biological Sciences or related field




    • Strong motivation and passion for research




    • Experience in molecular cloning, protein expression/purification (preferred but not required)




    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English  - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders




    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
