    The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.


     


    Position Available: Project Officer


    Join the laboratory of Tong Ping at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. We are seeking a project officer to contribute to a project focused on seismic imaging for geothermal energy potential in Singapore.


     


    Key Responsibilities:




    • Responsible for the deployment and maintenance of seismic sensors across Singapore, ensuring proper setup and data acquisition.




    • Organizing, cleaning, and performing basic processing of seismic datasets before advanced analysis.




    • Coordinating fieldwork logistics, managing research documentation, and assisting in project reporting and dissemination of findings.




     


    Job Requirements:




    • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, geophysics, physics, computer sciences, or related areas




    • Proficient in coding languages, such as C, C++, Fortran, and Python.




    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate seminars, workshops, and research events effectively.




    • Proficient in coding languages, such as C, C++, Fortran, and Python.




    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
