    Position Summary


    Prof. Emanuela Gionfriddo in the Department of Chemistry seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate in Analytical Chemistry to join her research team. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D in Chemistry with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry, chromatography and/or mass spectrometry, statistical evaluation of data and quantitative method validation, be qualified in the analysis of small molecules in complex media, proficient in analytical extraction methods, and be trained in the use of gas- and liquid-chromatography for untargeted or quantitative analysis. The candidate must have a track record of research accomplishment in the field, typically disseminated through several high-impact publications. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be responsible for developing and independently conducting research projects in analytical chemistry using microextraction techniques, with an emphasis on environmental and bioanalytical applications.

    Duties may include, but are not limited to:


    • organize and implement research plans

    • develop methods or research that incorporate highly specialized training in a specific specialty

    • conduct tests procedures and engage in data collection

    • analyze, evaluate, and present findings in professional journals and at professional conferences and meetings

    Minimum Qualifications

    PhD in Chemistry (Analytical)


    Preferred Qualifications

    3+ years of hands-on experience separation methods, chromatography, experience with materials synthesis


    Salary Range
    $47,500
