    Position description

    The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of temporary instructors, should an opening arise, to assist in teaching discussions and lab sections primarily in general and organic chemistry courses and other courses if needed. Duties include grading, attending instructional team meetings, holding office hours, and assisting with other teaching duties as needed. Candidates will support the primary instructors assigned to the courses.

    The Department is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching or other related activities.

    Qualifications
    Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
    A bachelor's degree, or equivalent international degree, or enrolled in a bachelor's degree, or equivalent international degree, program.

    Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
    A bachelor's degree, or equivalent international degree, and authorization to work in the U.S. is required by the date of hire.

    Preferred qualifications
    A bachelor's degree, or equivalent international degree, in chemistry or a related field. Experience in teaching chemistry.
