  • Lecturer: Actuarial Sciences
    Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Sciences
    Namibia University of Science and Technology

    A Master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Actuarial Science with at least four (4) years of lecturing experience in tertiary education and/or relevant industrial experience, or an equivalent combination of professional experience. Proven competence to teach at least three of the following courses:  Life Contingencies, Actuarial Theory of Pension Funds, Life and General Insurance, Risk and Investment Analysis, Credibility Theory and Loss Models, Actuarial Finance and Actuarial Data Science courses. Competence to establish professional networks and maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing undergraduate programmes. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competence in developing and managing research projects, sourcing of funding and strong managerial/organisational skills. A credible record of peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, programme coordination, and supervision of undergraduate research students, an Associate or Fellow of a recognised Actuarial Body or in possession of a relevant Doctorate degree will be an advantage.
