    Position Summary


    Prof. Bing Gong in the Department of Chemistry seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate in Organic Chemistry to join our research team (Gong, Bing - Department of Chemistry - University at Buffalo). The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a specialization in organic synthesis and a track record of research in the field. The postdoctoral associate will be responsible for developing and conducting research projects in organic synthesis, with an emphasis on the design and synthesis of new molecules for biological and medicinal applications.

    Duties may include, but are not limited to:



      • organize and implement research plans

      • develop methods or research that incorporate highly specialized training in a specific specialty

      • conduct tests procedures and engage in data collection

      • analyze, evaluate, and present findings in professional journals and at professional conferences and meetings

    Minimum Qualifications



    • PhD in Chemistry with a specialization in organic synthesis

    • Experience in common organic synthesis techniques and methodology

    • Competent English speaking and reading skills




    Preferred Qualifications



    • Knowledge of biological chemistry

    • Good communication, organization, and time-management skills

    • Ability to perform projects independently and as part of a team




    Physical Demands


    Salary Range
    $47,500 - $50,000
