We are looking for a Project Officer to join a newly established research group investigating the genetic and developmental origins of the human brain. This role offers close mentorship and hands-on training in advanced experimental techniques, including stem cell culture, CRISPR-based perturbation screens, and single-cell genomics. While the position includes general lab support duties, its core purpose is to prepare the candidate for long-term scientific growth—including potential admission into NTU’s Ph.D. program. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate seeking to sharpen their research skills and gain deep exposure to academic science before committing to graduate training. Key Responsibilities:

  Assist in wet-lab experiments including stem cell culture, CRISPR editing, molecular cloning, and imaging

  
  


• 
  

  Help maintain shared lab reagents and support common protocols used across projects

  
  


• 
  

  Receive individualized training in core molecular biology techniques and experimental design

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in data collection and analysis under guidance from the PI and senior lab members

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute to lab organization, procurement, and safety documentation as part of a collaborative team

  
  


• 
  

  Take intellectual ownership of a focused mini-project aligned with the lab’s research goals

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare for potential transition into the SBS PhD program by building a strong technical and conceptual foundation in modern biological research

  
  

Job Requirements:

  Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, molecular biology, or related field

  Strong interest in pursuing graduate study and a long-term research career

  Prior laboratory experience (e.g., coursework, UROPs, final year projects) preferred

  Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn complex protocols quickly

  Conscientious, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
