    The department of Information and Service Management has a strong focus on empirical studies and active cooperation with companies and prestigious universities. Most of our projects have both national and international partners, and the results of our research are targeted at top tier academic journals. The research is broadly divided into three disciplines: information systems science, management science and SCM/logistics, with topics such as digital service development, service networks, behavioral decision making, and data science. Our department has more than 50 employees from all over the world with diverse backgrounds.     We are now looking for an [b]University lecturer[/b] to join us and support developing our growing portfolio of business-oriented cybersecurity, digitalization, and/or artificial intelligence study modules at the Department of Information and Service Management. The position is a permanent full-time lecturer position. The selected candidate is expected to start in January 2026 or as soon as possible. Workplace is
    located at Otaniemi campus in Espoo, Finland.     [b]Your role and goals[/b]

    The successful candidate will participate in planning, developing and delivering university level courses and study modules on various business-oriented topics related to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and/or digitalization. The candidate should also have the ability to plan, develop, and teach study modules suitable for executive education and life wide learning programs. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research, supervise master’s and bachelor’s theses, and participate in preparing grant proposals for acquiring external research and teaching funding.

    The successful candidate will join the Information Systems Science research group.     [b]Your experience and ambitions[/b]

    We are looking for applicants who are completing or have completed their doctoral studies in information systems science, business information technology, or a closely related field. The applicants should have demonstrated their ability to teach university level courses and executive education courses, ideally on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and/or digitalization. The applicants should have demonstrated their
    ability to conduct research independently and the potential or ability to publish in high-quality scholarly journals. The positions require fluent skills in the English language. Finnish proficiency is considered an
    advantage. The candidate should be familiar with modern pedagogical approaches (e.g. constructive learning, case-based learning, project based learning) and have the ability to effectively use digital tools and resources in teaching. 

    Applicants must possess a Doctorate (or be near completion of a doctoral degree) in information systems science, business information technology or a closely related field. Between 50-70% of the work duties are related to teaching, depending on the Lecturer career system level of the person selected for the position.
