    A Research Fellow position as an expert in structural biology is available at the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The candidate should have technical experience and knowledge in the areas of mycobacterial enzymes, setting up of cryo-EM and crystallography experiments, their data analysis and structure determination. The candidate will provide leadership, communication skills and mentoring to students working in the team.

    We are seeking a highly experienced senior scientist with expertise in structural biology, particularly in protein chemistry and cryo-EM. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving research on mycobacterial enzymes and multi-subunit complexes, contributing both technical expertise and leadership to the team.


    Job Responsibilities:




    • Lead and conduct research on the 3D structure determination of mycobacterial enzymes and large protein complexes.




    • Set up and perform cryo-EM experiments, including data collection, processing, and structural analysis.




    • Provide mentorship to students and junior researchers in the lab.




    • Communicate research findings effectively and contribute to collaborative projects.




    Job Requirements:




    • PhD in structural biology, biochemistry, or a related field with at least of years of relevant experience.




    • Extensive technical experience in protein chemistry, protein engineering, and 3D structure determination of large/multi-subunit enzyme complexes.




    • Proven expertise in cryo-EM experiment design, execution, and data interpretation.




    • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring students or junior scientists.
