The Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation is funded by FAPESP (Funding Agency of Sao Paulo State) and SHELL to develop research and innovation for the sustainable use of natural gas, biogas, hydrogen and management, transport, storage and usage of CO2 on a global scale. It is hosted in the University of São Paulo, has 88 projects under development that are carried out by 300 researchers.
