2024 SUMMER SESSIONAL LECTURER POSITION

The Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia invites applications for a sessional lecturer for a Summer term 1 2024 lecture course (Summer term 1 May-June). The salary for this position depends on qualifications and experience. Individuals with a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in chemistry and successful teaching experience are preferred. Familiarity with computer interfaces and online teaching systems (UBC Canvas) is an asset. The expected pay range for this position is $4640/month - $6000/month

CHEM 233: Organic Chemistry for the Biological Sciences: Reactions and properties of carbonyl compounds, carbohydrates, amino acids, nucleic acids.

NOTE:  This course will be offered in a hybrid model with lectures delivered on-line and quizzes and exams in-person.

Successful candidates will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
