Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

(1) teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level courses, such as structural geology, geodynamics, geophysics, hydrogeology, and/or field geology,

(2) establishing world-class research projects in partnership with the local industry and international partners, and

(3) mentoring junior faculty.

Workload is distributed between teaching, research and service activities.

Qualifications

An earned PhD degree with a proven research track record and teaching experience commensurate with appointment rank;

Excellent communication skills and English fluency are required;

Early career carbonate geologists with research interests in structural geology with fracture experience are particularly urged to apply to support an industry consortia-funded research project.

Additional Information

The appointment is a 3-year renewable contract subject to annual performance reviews. An attractive remuneration package for international faculty members includes:
