Center on using experimental and theoretical techniques to address fundamental questions in the fields of surface chemistry and catalysis, surface physics, and materials research, and, most recently, thin film polymer dynamics and AFM imaging studies of bacterial cell wall structure. In particular, we are using a variety of molecular beam, laser spectroscopic, and scanning probe microscopy techniques, as well as computational tools such as molecular dynamics, to examine issues central to our understanding of surface chemical dynamics.
