Dr. Bashkova’s research interests are in the area of environmental chemistry and chemistry of materials. The main focus is on the synthesis of environmentally benign materials based on agricultural waste, their characterization using a wide scope of analytical techniques, and their efficient application in water and air purification. Other research interests include the sustainable utilization of agricultural waste products in preparation of green materials such as biopolymers, and their further implementation in the wide range of application areas, including medical and pharmaceutical.
