Professor Grim's graduate work was on the synthesis of peptide hormone analogs containing alpha-beta unsaturated amino acids. After graduation he worked in the pharmaceutical industry both as a drug discovery research chemist and as a development chemist in a kilo lab. Later on he worked as a tech support/sales chemist for a specialty enzyme company. Now as a chemistry instructor his goal is to encourage all his students to become critical thinkers. He has a particular interest in giving non-science majors a foundational understanding and appreciation of science.
