Her research focuses on wastewater inactivation by a cold atmospheric pressure plasma. Her other research interests are in plasma medicine, plasma liquid interactions, and plasma as a tool for synthesis. She is also a visiting researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. During her post-doctoral work at UMN she focused on detailing the mechanism of virus inactivation and silver nanoparticle synthesis by a cold atmospheric pressure plasma. She has industry experience in the research and development sector of corrosion control.
