Caleb is studying the growth and characteristics of several key agronomic weeds, to search for unique characteristics which can be innovatively exploited for purposes of weed management. For example, he is studying the feasibility of methods to decrease pollination of insect-pollinated weeds such as Wild Radish, and is looking for ways to broaden the scope of post-harvest weed seed management methods to include additional weed species. Caleb is also interested in the genetics, variation and herbicide resistance mechanisms of weed populations.
