Social Relationships and Health - This research focuses on two broad areas: social relationships and health. We look at a variety of social relationships (friends, significant others, work colleagues) at a variety of stages within those relationships (new relationships, transitions within a relationship). We look at mental health (anxiety, depression) and physical health (cardiovascular functioning like blood pressure and heart rate).
Stereotypes of Sexual Minorities - This research focuses on the stereotypes of and prejudice toward lesbians, gay men, and bisexuals. Currently, we are examining these stereotypes from the perspective of heterosexuals. We are looking at the similarities and differences in stereotype content across the spectrum of sexual identities
