Expertise: My research is primarily focused in the field of remote sensing and Earth observation. I am particularly interested in minerals mapping and exploration in Oman by using remote sensing techniques (satellite, airborne, and ground-based) and digital image processing. The mineralogy is particularly interesting in that carbonate-bearing rocks and ophiolite in this region (Oman). Currently I am working on mapping project including the detection of Chromite sites in Northern Oman using optical data from spaceborne
