My research interests are in the area of organic synthesis. Our studies utilize diverse molecular targets as the inspiration and driving force for the development of novel reactions and significant synthetic methodology. We seek to employ new and relatively simple strategies to rapidly construct complex and distinct molecular architecture. A particular focus of our research program is to employ transition metal-based catalysts to establish new bond-forming processes that enable a variety of fundamental heterocyclic motifs to be generated
