Expertise: Dr. Schon’s research interests are centered on brain plasticity, cognition and aging in humans. Currently, her research focuses on the role of aerobic exercise and cardio-respiratory fitness as a modulator of cognitive function and brain integrity across the lifespan. She uses functional and structural MRI, behavioral and exercise physiology methods, and biomarker assays.
