  • My research interests broadly rest on evolutionary ecology, behavioral ecology, and conservation biology of amphibians. Using various research tools such as aquatic mesocosms, behavioral assays, and molecular analyses, our current projects focus on: 1) Sperm competition, 2) Hatching timing plasticity, 3) Maternal effect, and 4) Parental care. Given the on-going global amphibian decline, I am also interested in amphibian conservation, such as effects of pollutants and diseases on their populations. We are experiencing an unprecedented rate of species extinction and amphibians are the most threatened vertebrate group. Conservation biology is a critical component of both my research and teaching. While Bucknell is a primarily undergraduate institution, our department also has a master's program
