My primary research interest is examining exercise and bone health in various populations, including in those with chronic disease. Specifically, I focus on: 1) characterizing bone health and its association with exercise in those with chronic disease; 2) evaluating the effectiveness of exercise interventions on multiple outcomes (bone quantity, bone microarchitecture, fracture risk, muscle function, physical function, metabolic health, and quality of life) in adults/children with chronic disease; and 3) examining bone and muscle health throughout the lifespan, and developing preventative and lifestyle management exercise based interventions for aging adults with and without chronic disease
