Anyone who applies to this position must want to write quickly and easily create large amounts of text that can explain some of the complicated topics that Heffernan is working on. Prof. Heffernan works in artificial intelligence and deep learning; the communications coordinator will not
be writing academic papers, and need to be expert in such topics, but they instead need to explain the work in layperson terms.
